A very happy discovery for me is the art of printmaking.  The variety of techniques and results achievable are staggering.  In particular I have enjoyed learning how to create lino-block prints, which are essentially carved linoleum sheets that are inked and then printed on beautiful papers.  I will always be grateful to Candace Garlock, my printmaking teacher for opening up this world to me in her world-mother, generous way.  She is the Santa Claus of printmaking as far as I'm concerned.  Her teaching has been such a gift!
