Sometimes canvases can be found lying about outside, right on the ground.  Years ago I enjoyed painting animals that I happened to see in the forms of rocks, much like seeing them in clouds scudding by, only being able to hold them in my hand and bring them to life with a bit of paint.  Recently I'm drawn to do more abstract things with paint.  I love the simple patterns that take me back to the 50s and 60s through mid-century, retro style shapes and colors.
